Spotlight: Alan Low

What is your role within the company?

I am a Technical Services Specialist with quite a varied role within KCI. I tend to be involved with a most projects here at KCI ltd. This involves writing procedures, selecting and testing the equipment and travelling offshore to apply the various different isolations & repairs.

What do you like most about working for KCI?

I get a great deal of job satisfaction coming back from a successful job.  Its rewarding  knowing you have helped a customer to get a well back online or helped them solve an problem they have been struggling with.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

For me the most exciting part is the opportunity to travel to places that I otherwise would never have gone to. I was recently on a job in the Ivory Coast, it was a nice change of scene from our predominately North Sea jobs.

Outside of work, what are you passionate about?

I am an Aberdeen FC season ticket holder and have been for nearly 25years. My days of heading off to loads of away games are over but I still enjoy going along to Pittodrie when I can – glutton for punishment I think is the term used!!

What are your hobbies/what do you do on the weekends?

At weekends I play a bit of Golf and spend time with my family I have a 1 year old and another on the way so things are going to get even busier soon!
