What is your role within the company?
Engineering Director
What do you like most about working for KCI?
My colleagues are great to work with, they are very supportive and we have a real team environment. Additionally, the vast and diverse range of enquires we deal with means it’s never the same twice. KCI is a company that you can be proud to work for as it has a very good reputation within the industry.
What first attracted you to your area of expertise?
I’m interested in all things mechanical and how they work. Once we understand how things work, we can propose solutions to repair them.
What are the values that drive you?
Personal and business integrity. This builds trust and good relationships with customers and suppliers alike.
Determination. I don’t give up easily when faced with resistance.
Compassion. I treat people in the way I would like to be treated myself.
What is a key challenge that your customers face that you want to solve/have helped to solve?
Our customers have a vast and varied amount of challenges and we are trying to address them all:

IG-FP, DHSV Control Line leak isolation

What is the most exciting part of your job?
Creating and proposing a solution for a client then following it through to a successful operation.
Outside of work, what are you passionate about?
Apart from spending quality time with my family and friends, I like to keep our garden tidy and look after our chickens.
What’s something about you that not a lot of people know?
I won the 2022 Forfar Golf Club Handicap Championship.

What are your hobbies/what do you do on the weekends?
I play golf at my local course, ride my e-mountain bike, and go skiing “occasionally” (went this year, last time was 25 years ago!).
